Rotate and zoom
Left-drag to rotate, right-drag to pan, and scroll to zoom. Panning stays near the model so you can centre details up close. On touchscreens, use one finger to rotate, drag with two fingers to pan, pinch to zoom, and the View panel to adjust camera height.
Keyboard controls
Select the view first, then use the arrow keys to rotate and the plus and minus keys to zoom. Home restores the default view.
How do I use depth of field?
Enable depth of field in View, click the model to focus or adjust the focus distance, then set the blur strength. It is fixed during drawing. Saved studies, sharing and exports all retain depth of field.
How do I use fill lighting?
Lighting presets set the key, fill and rim lights together. The fill and rim lights each have their own switch, direction and intensity. On first entry, only the sculpture is shown and the HDRI background is hidden, while HDRI environment lighting stays on; adjust this under Background display.
Share & import
Copy the current setup code or share link in Studies & sharing. Preview and confirm before importing. A shared reference is fixed; later adjustments are not synced.
Five tool groups
Adjust the reference with view, material, lighting and framing. Observation tools remain available while the study is locked.
Pinning the panel and hiding controls
Pin panel, in the panel title, docks the panel beside the view so neither covers the other; choose it again to let the panel float. After you start drawing, Hide controls leaves only the unlock button, the thumbnail and the light map. Choose it again or press Esc to bring everything back.
Why can't I rotate while measuring?
The camera stays fixed while measuring or sampling. Select Exit tool to rotate it again in adjustment mode.
What does the export include?
Standard PNG is free, keeps the current background and is suitable as a drawing reference. Transparent PNG requires PRO, removes the background and is suitable for layering in painting software. Both keep lighting and tonal effects, without the interface or guides. Free exports include a venusvase.art watermark; PRO exports have none. On phones, portrait tablets and narrow or short windows, Export PNG is under More.
Why is my previous study missing on another device?
Studies are saved only for this site in the current browser. They are not transferred automatically if you clear site data, switch browsers or use another device.
Full screen and screen wake lock
Open More and select Full screen to enter or exit it. Start drawing will try to keep the screen awake; it releases the lock when you switch away or continue adjusting. Check the page message to see whether it worked.
